The whole UAE has been waiting for the announcement of the long holiday for the celebration of Eid Al Fitr this 2024. And just recently, the Department of Labour has finally announced the dates.
Get ready and have your plans all set as the official paid non-working holiday will start at 8th of april, and the end will vary on whether Ramadan will be a 29-day or a 30-day month. Until we know if Shawwal 3 will be declared on Thursday (11th of April) or Friday (12th of April), following the Gregorian Calendar, the length of the holiday is yet to be known.
In celebration of the holiday, public parking all around Dubai will be free over Eid Al Fitr. This will take effect from April 8th (Monday) until Shawwal 3, which is yet to be officially known. The free parking does not cover Multi-storey parking spaces, and will be charged like the usual.
